With the hard working of the technical personnel and site construction personnel of the SINOSTEEL Equipment and Engineering Co., Ltd. nearly 10 months, the 120 t LF of the ERDEMIR Steel Plant in Turkey with the general contracting of SINOSTEEL Equipment and Engineering Co., Ltd. successfully treated the first heat of liquid steel on August 22, 2007, and it has successfully passed the strict performance test by the foreign party on November 14, 2007 and has been successfully put into commercial operation.

The 2# LF project of the ERDEMIR Steel Plant in Turkey is the first LF project contracted in foreign country by the company. The annual liquid steel treatment capacity in the LF design is 1700000 t, with electrode rotation type, double working position and double ladle car arrangement, adopting currently advanced international secondary refining technology. SINOSTEEL Equipment and Engineering Co., Ltd. is responsible for the basic design, LF detailed design and supply of main equipment, and it provides installation and commissioning instruction. After the LF is put into production, the operation is stable and it has been highly appraised by the owner.
