Sinosteel India Pvt. Ltd (abbreviated as Sinosteel India) is the fully owned subsidiary of Sinosteel Corporation, being important part working under the guidance of global integration operation strategy of Sinosteel. Department of Admin., Finance, Public Relation, Iron Ore, Chrome & Manganese, and Project are set up.
Since its establishment in 2005, Sinosteel India has been engaged in developing and purchasing high quality mineral resources (such as iron ore, chrome ore, manganese ore, nickel ore, met coke etc.) for Chinese steel manufacturers; and in undertaking projects, providing comprehensive and auxiliary service, importing complete equipments, and trading iron & steel products for Indian steel mills.
Sinosteel India, as one of the biggest iron ore traders in India, is Chairman General of Iron Ore Branch in CCCMC, and Chief of Coordination Team to Indian Iron Ore Import.
Sinosteel India is able to undertake a variety of engineering projects in the fields of mining, pelletization, coking, sintering, beneficiation, iron making plant, steel making plant, rolling mill plant etc. By the end of 2011, the total contract value of projects that Sinosteel Corporation has already undertaken amounts to 517.385 million US dollars, out of which, the whole value of the total completed projects reaches 233.5 million US dollars, while the same for the total on-going projects is up to 283.885 million US dollars. The Recovery Coking Project of 1.5MTPA for JSW Steel Ltd undertaken by Sinosteel MECC was then appraised as the project with the largest capacity, shortest construction period as well as most economic index and advanced installation level in the same sector. In addition, Sinosteel India has procured the land proposed for future 0.6 MTPA of Pelletization Plant in Haldia in West Bengal. Meanwhile Sinosteel is also exploring possibilities on joint venture with Onkar Group for putting up an integrated steel plant of 1.0MTPA in Guptamoni, West Bengal.
