100% equipments delivery and arrival of Sumitomo Metal Coke Oven Project

On November 21th, 2008, the last shipment of equipments including gas uptake and compensator for 2 × 65 hole chamber height 6m coke ovens of Sumitomo Metals Wakayama Steel Plant successfully arrived at job site. Thus, the equipments and materials supplied by Sinosteel MECC for this project completely arrived in due time.
The 2 × 65 hole chamber height 6m coke ovens of Sumitomo Metals Wakayama Steel Plant is so far the biggest coke oven project Chinese companies ever contracted from the developed country steel enterprises. Sinosteel MECC is responsible for the coke oven equipment supply and technical guidance of construction and erection. After the signing of the contract in June,2006, the building work was started on September 21th,2007 and finished in October,2008 as scheduled. Presently, the installation of coke car and iron parts is in process and the coke oven is expected to be put into production in May,2009.
With the strict management and active coordination to fulfill the owner’s requests, Sinosteel MECC delivered all the equipments and materials safely to the job site on time and creates favorable conditions for the completion and commissioning of the project, which is highly appreciated by the owner.
